Hi, I’m Meghan.

I started belting Barbra Streisand tunes after watching ‘Hello Dolly’ at the age of five; turns out it was the most effective way to annoy my brother and sister. In an effort to get some peace & quiet at home my mom threw me into a kids’ choir. As they say…one thing led to another and here we are.

After two degrees in music (a Bachelor of Music from Rice University and Master of Music at University of Cincinnati) I got to travel the world, meet lots of wonderful people and have a career in Opera. Music has empowered me to thrive on stage, at the front of a classroom and in the boardroom of a leading tech company.

I believe finding your voice and learning how to use it well transforms people’s lives and am here to help you along that journey. Whether you are here for lessons, or to introduce your child to music through our education series or to order a custom lullaby for your best friends’ baby shower: I can’t wait to welcome you to this community and hear what everyone has to say.

What kind of person will your voice make you?

  • Tech Savvy.

Meghan transitioned from Opera to tech after realizing she preferred making projects happen to performing in them. She helped scale a retail tech start-up from their HQ in Berlin to the United States, and worked her way up the ladder at a leading data analytics & visualization software company. Big thanks to the Spanish day-trader who taught her to analyze financial statements at a coworking space in the early days (you know who you are); and to the leaders who took a shot on an Opera Singer to help grow and shape their companies.

  • Kid at Heart.

At Rice University, Meghan helped run the early childhood music education program at the Shepherd School of Music. After college, she served as lead teacher at a German-English Montessori school with kids aged 18 months to 7 years. Her primary goal in education is to protect and grow every child’s inherent curiosity while building confidence in specific skills through hands-on play and exploration. Music education is an absolute jackpot for this kind of development.

This approach fulfils a child’s sense of purpose and safely creates belonging for them during the pandemic within the digital learning community here at Timbre.
